team BEDS&LUTON is one of 49 County Sports Partnerships (CSPs) across England. All CSPs actively contribute to increasing participation and widening access to sport, physical activity and the achievement of sporting success for all age groups, and are pivotal in delivering the 1% increase per year participation target set by government.

The 1st April 2009 signifies a milestone in the life of County Sports Partnerships nationally. Much has changed since their emergence 3 years ago including the strategic direction of Sport England, team BEDS&LUTON’s main funder. This has meant a refocusing of the CSP’s resources and staff. From the beginning of the new financial year, team BEDS&LUTON will be a slightly slimmer organisation (going from 9 core members of staff to 5, with an additional project officer for work on the LAA). Director Lloyd Conaway says, “The role of CSPs has been agreed through a new Core Offer (downloadable below). We are very excited about the future and will work hard with our partners to continue to deliver high quality services and really make a difference”.
