About BOOST
BOOST is a partnership of Local Authorities in Bedfordshire and Luton (Bedford Borough Council, Central Bedfordshire Council and Luton Borough Council) along with the University of Bedfordshire and The Harpur Trust who all make a financial contribution of £10K each giving an annual budget of £50K.
The Chamber, BLEDP (Bedfordshire and Luton Economic Development Partnership), Renaissance Bedford, London Luton Airport and other voluntary sector groups are also active in BOOST. BOOST is managed by a Coordinating group chaired by the team BEDS&LUTON Director Lloyd Conaway, with Colin Chick (Luton Borough Council - Strategic Director) as the Vice Chair.
BOOST’s elected representative on the Nations and Regions board is Cllr Pat Olney with Lloyd Conaway as the representative on the Executive Group.
BOOST has a series of Working Groups covering Business, Tourism, Sport, Education/Young People and Culture of which there is a page dedicated to each on this website. Volunteering is seen as a cross cutting issue.
