Bedford River Festival
BOOST was proud to support the terrific Bedford River Festival which took place over the weekend of the 12 and 13 July. A “beach arena” hosted soccer, volleyball, touch rugby and badminton. An extreme sports arena saw mountain biking, street running and trick shot golf. The water sports arena on the river itself included, canoe polo, wakeboarding from Box End park, Stand up board canoeing, thundercats speedboats and freestyle kayaking from a purpose built ramp.
Within BOOST’s action plan is a specific aim to increase participation in sport and physical activity – the circulation of 5000 “Passports to Sport” further complimented the activities.
