Registration for London 2012 Open Weekend begins!
Open Weekend supported by BP is back for 2010
London 2012 invites you to take part in Open Weekend 2010, on 23-25 July. Join us to celebrate two years to go until the Olympic and Paralympic Games!
Last year over 470 organisations hosted 800 events across the UK; 90% of organisations surveyed said their event attracted new audiences. Watch the 2009 celebrations
Be part of Open Weekend in 2010 and celebrate with hundreds and thousands of people across the UK. This year we are inviting Local authorities, sporting and cultural organisations and venues across the UK to set a challenge for the public to participate in. The challenge could be to create a new piece of art in 24 hours, organise a treasure hunt or stage a mass aerobics session - it's entirely up to you.
Who can be involved?
London 2012 Open Weekend is open to organisations and venues from the world of culture and sport. We ask that your event:
- Sets a challenge that the public can participate in
- Takes place between 23-25 July 2010
- Is non-commercial and not-for-profit
- Does not have any commercial sponsorship or offer any similar marketing rights
- Is open to everyone
