Starting Blocks: an intro to the 2012 Education Programme in the SE
The conference, targeted at colleges and universities (as well schools and local authorities and other learning providers) will take place on Tuesday 8th July at the University of Winchester from 10am – 2.30pm. It is designed to inform institutions in the South East of the London 2012 Education Programme.
The Starting Blocks event will:
1. Outline the London 2012 Domestic Education Programme courtesy of key speaker Kathryn McColl, Education Officer for London 2012.
2. Introduce the Cultural Olympiad and the wide ranging South East responses to the 2012 Games.
3. Inspire, with case studies and special guest speakers including, Paralympian John Harris, who has been recently working with Vicky Hope - Walker on an inspiring art project linking Paralympians, deaf and disabled artists and pupils at mixed ability schools in Buckinghamshire.
