BOOST Founder Frank Branston Dies
It is with great sadness that BOOST announces the Death of it’s founder Frank Branston.
Frank was quick to see the potential benefits of London 2012 and the importance for local communities to get involved. He controversially said he felt the games would prove to be very expensive and may have been better going to Paris.
Following the announcement in July 2005 that London had won the bid he said we should do all we could in Bedfordshire and Luton to realise benefits to our local clubs, schools, businesses and communities.
Lloyd Conaway the Chair of BOOST said “Franks vision in creating BOOST and pulling together a strong BOOST team led the way across the East Region and has been recognised as an example of good practice on how you coordinate London 2012 things locally. He will be sadly missed and BOOST intends to celebrate his contribution".
