Activity for life

Netball

Netball

The Get Back Into netball project kicked off as a pilot in 2005 and is now in its forth year. The sessions are always incredibly popular with participants ranging from 17 year olds who haven't played netball for a couple of years, to more 'mature' ladies who had not played for 20 years.

I hadn't played netball since having a baby 6 years ago. My old team didn't play together anymore and so this was perfect to get me back into the sport.

Like all Get Back Into activities, sessions start with a gentle introduction in the first week and then go onto some coaching and match play. Session are always really laid back and just give an opportunity for women of all ages to get together for a bit of a run around. For those women that wish to continue playing netball, or play more competitively, there is the opportunity to continue playing recreationally at the end of the programme, form their own team or join a local club.
