CAPS Requirements

In line with the Sport England Clubmark award, CAPS focuses on four key areas that impact Netball clubs.  There are a number courses which club representatives are required to have attended for each level of CAPS. Please see requirements below:

Duty of Care & Child Protection
• BRONZE: Two Members attended a Safeguarding or Duty of Care course
• SILVER: Three Members attended a Safeguarding or Duty of Care course
• GOLD:  Four Members attended a Safeguarding or Duty of Care course-
• GOLD: only requirement Qualified First Aider, but is highly recommended for all levels.

Player, Coach & Official Development
• BRONZE: 1 x Level 1 coach, 1 x Level 2 coach
• SILVER: 2 x Level 1 coaches, 2 x Level 2 coaches
• GOLD: 4 x Level 1 coaches, 3 x Level 2 coaches, 1 x Level 3 coaches
• BRONZE:  1 x Beginner or C Award umpire
• SILVER: 3 x Beginner or C Award umpire
• GOLD: 3 x Beginner or C Award umpire plus 1 x B or A (panel) umpire
• GOLD: Umpire Mentor- recommended to have attended suCK mentors course and is minimum B award

Sports Equity & Ethics
• All levels: one member must have attended scUK- A Club For All Workshop
• All levels: one member must have attended scUK- Equity in Your Coaching Workshop
