What is UKCC?
The UK Coaching Certificate is an endorsement of sport-specific coach education. It sets the standards to help us ensure that we are delivering the best available, player-centered coaching.
What are the 3 levels?
The Netball UKCC is a 3 level framework of coach education. Upon successful completion of each level of a UKCC qualification, a coach will be able to do the following:
• Level 3: Plan, implement and evaluate the process and outcome of long term/specialist coaching programmes.
• Level 2: Prepare for, deliver and review coaching sessions. Level 2 is the first qualification where netball would encourage coaches to be coaching independently or as part of a coaching team.
• Level 1: Assist more qualified coaches, delivering aspects of coaching sessions normally under direct supervision.
Netball East and County Netball Associations run a range of short courses in specific areas to supplement skills and knowledge gained from UKCC courses.
These include;
• High Fives
• Coaching Team Play
• Performance Standards Workshops
• Other workshops selected and prepared by East coaching experts including Maggie Jackson and Chris Laundy
