Netball East recognise that setting up clubs and developing clubs, coaches and players costs money! To help our clubs, coaches and volunteers with this process we have identified a number of grant schemes that can support various Netball projects.
EAST OF ENGLAND OFFERS TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES IN PREPARATION FOR LONDON 2012

MARS REFUEL DRINK FUND
A recent survey conducted by the MARS Refuel Drink Fund showed that the average sporting individual spends £32.52 a month on their sport. This includes kit, travel, equipment, membership fees and training. As a consequence of the survey the fund has been launched for three months from April 6th 2009 to help sports clubs and individuals following their sporting dreams. Awards for All
Awards for All is a lottery grants programme aimed at local communities. They award grants between £300 and £10,000 for people to take part in arts, sport, heritage and community activities, and projects that promote education, the environment and health in the local community. The aims of Awards for All are to extend access and participation, increase skills and creativity and improve the quality of life. If you have any queries please contact:

AENA Youth Trust
The AENA Youth Trust is a non-profit making educational charity which exists to support individuals and schemes in the development of sport for young people. The AENA Youth Trust was set up primarily to help young people to play Netball by providing support for their activities. This support has to fall within established criteria, set out in the Trust’s Deed. The Trust aims to:
• Promote and provide courses, lectures, demonstrations and coaching for pupils, students and teachers involved in Netball
• Provide and maintain the appropriate equipment and facilities needed for these activities
• Promote and provide research and study for the development of Netball
• Assist in providing facilities for physical recreation in the interest of personal development of people under the age of 21

Netball East Coach Grant Scheme
Netball East support their affiliated members by providing UKCC course subsidies and mentoring opportunities to help develop coaches across the region. Grants can be given towards UKCC level 1, 2, 3, and the level 2 upgrade. Forms and details can be obtained by clicking here.

Sportsmatch
Sportsmatch is a government funded scheme to support the development of grass roots sport in England. They make awards to organisations running projects aimed at increasing participation in sports at community level. They do this through matching commercial sponsorship money invested in community sport. If your club is seeking sponsorship this scheme may be able to match the sponsors contribution. Sports Aid Talented Athlete Grants
Sports Aid at both national and regional level provides assistance to aspiring sportsmen and women, between the ages of 12 and 18 years. For example Sports Aid has given support to talented young athletes towards with club affiliation fees, equipment, insurance, travel and training costs. As general guidance applicants should be Regional level or above to be considered however clarification can be gained by contacting Sportsaid.

Would you like funding to help get young people active?
Funding is available through the Sport Unlimited initiative (led by Sport England nationally & Suffolk Sport locally) as part of the Five Hour Offer programme.
