Michelle has 2 roles in the Partnership, one of which is combined with Rachel Moss. Details of her post including specific targets for this term are included below;
OSHL Community
- Working with Mid Beds to launch and run 2 after school fun sports clubs for children in years 5 and 6. This is be trialled at 2 middle schools and then taken into others if successful
- Working with Sport Support to launch a Saturday morning multi sports club at 2 venues. This is aimed at children in years 7 and 8 and if successful will be run at other venues with the aim of them becoming sustainable clubs
- Setting up a water sports club on Saturday mornings for pupils in year 9 – 11, encouraging them to become more active.
- Working with Extended Services and Sport Support to run and deliver breakfast clubs aimed at children in years 3 – 6, with the intention of them becoming a sustainable facility
- Working with Mid Beds to create opportunities for children in years 4 – 6 to access physical activity within Uniformed Organisations via Top Activity Programme
- Working with Luton Lions Cheerleading to further develop cheerleading community clubs across the partnership and organising taster sessions to promote these clubs.
- To investigate introducing Futsal into the partnership and setting up courses for teachers/AOTTS/young leaders to deliver this to the children in community based clubs.
Inclusion, Attainment and Achievement - Joint role with Rachel Moss
- Collecting data on SEN pupils in our partnership so we have a central register (then organising a festival for different catagories)
- Collecting data on Gifted and talented Pupils and look at setting up acadamies/workshops for them.
- Look at making Multi Skills clubs more integrated so they are more sustainable within a school setting.
- Work with lower schools to help them identify Gifted and Talented pupils
- Find out if any of the upper schools do the JAE program and help those who don't have it already, to implement
- Organise an activity day for SLD pupils in mainstream education
