Nicks role as SSCo for Physical Activity and Sport will cover the following development points;
SSCo Physical Activity and Sport
- Work with all schoold to ensure that high quality informal physical activity is a day to day opportunity for all pupils
- Work with SSCo Leadership & Volunteering to develop playleader programmes across lower and middle schools
- Integrate Huff Puff and other lunchtime based programmes into all lower and middle schools
- Introduce and develop resources to assist lunchtime supervisors in their delivery of break/lunchtime opportunities
- Support schools in their development of informal activity such as classroom aerobics and Take 10
- Work on sports specific projects as advised by the Partnership Development Manager increasing the ability to achieve the 5 hours offer
Swimming
Nick will be working closely with local leisure centres and lower schools to ensure all of our lower schools take part in a successful swimming programme. All lower school teachers will be encouraged to do their module 1 and 2 swimming if they have their own swimming pools.
