CCPR Sports Club of the Year Award

The CCPR Sports Club of the Year Awards have been running for 18 years, and have previously been open to National Governing Bodies and County Sports Partnerships who could nominate deserving clubs for the award.  This year for the first time, in partnership with the Youth Sport Trust, the awards include an award directly aimed at clubs who are effectively working with schools in their local community.

The CCPR and the Youth Sport Trust have produced criteria for SSPs to use to nominate clubs for the School-Club Links Award 2011. Using this criterion the Redborne SSP have selected Ampthill and District RUFC to nominate for the award.

The prize for the winner of this award is £2,500, to assist the club in further improving their offer to their local schools, and developing their infrastructure. The application form has been completed by the club and endorsed by the Redborne SSP and sent off to the Youth Sport Trust to be judged. The winner of the award will be announced here soon, good luck to Ampthill and District RUFC.
