National PESSCL results revealed
Last week at the PDM conference the national results for the 07-08 PESSCL surveys were revealed.
The Redborne SSP has achieved the following fantastic statistics in comparison to national data allowing it to sit as one of the 75 top performing Partnerships in England;
PESSCL Survey Specific

Percentage of pupils doing 2 hours of PE & Out of School Hours Sport per week is above national average by 6%

Percentage of pupils involved in intra school competition is above national average by 13%
-
Percentage of pupils involved in inter school competition is above national average by 20%
-
Number of activities provided by schools is equal to national average at 17
-
Number of sports/activities that schools have links to clubs is 3 above the national average
-
Percentage of pupils who have participated in clubs linked to their school is above national average by 8%
-
Those registered as G & T is equal to national average at 7%
-
Percentage of pupils actively involved in sports volunteering & leadership is above national average by 23%
Other key headline stats

There are 75 School Sport Partnerships in England that are above 90% of pupils achieving 2 hours of PE & Out of School Hours Sport per week and Redborne is one of them at 96%

78% of pupils nationally take part in 2 hours of core PE per week. Within Redborne SSP 92% of pupils take part in 2 hours of core PE per week, exceeding the national average by 14%

At Years 1 and 2 the Partnership is ahead of national statistics for intra school competition by 50% and 45% respectively, but are below average in years 9, 10 and 11

In years 1-5 the Partnership is ahead of national statistics for inter school competition by nearly 50% in all cases, but are below average in year 6 by 25%

In years 4 and 8 the Partnership is ahead of national statistics for leadership & volunteering by 73% and 69% respectively, but is below average by 10% in year 10
