Stacks of success for Cranfield Lower School

Virtual Speed Stacks Competition

The Redborne School Sport Partnership has just completed its 2nd virtual speed stacks competition.

Speed stacks is a fun cup stacking sport that is used to develop hand-eye co-ordination, reaction time and ambidexterity.

A total of 10 lower schools took part in the competition, which involved over 450 pupils. The pupils took part in 4 events. The events were alternate tower stack, 3-3-3 stack, 6 stack and 3-6-3 stack. The results from each school where then collated and average scores were produced. Points were awarded depending on the schools position in relation to each other.

Congratualtions to Cranfield Lower who are the overall competition winners.

KS1 winners: Eversholt Lower
KS2 winners: Cranfield Lower

Alternate tower: KS1: Georgia Kenney – 8.07secs (Cranfield)
KS2: Sienna Taylor – 5.27 secs (Ramsey Manor)

3-3-3: KS1: Eleanor Bruce – 4.77 secs (Eversholt)
KS2: Elizabeth Bastiani – 4.95 secs (Templefield)

6 stack: KS1: Milly Thurman – 2.84 secs (Eversholt)
KS2: Sophie Erwood – 2.05 secs (Ramsey Manor)

3-6-3: KS1: Eleanor Bruce – 7.38 secs (Eversholt)
KS2: Sam Collins – 6.39 secs (Haynes)
