Tag Rugby Festival
The Redborne SSP ran its annual tag rugby festival on the 9th and 11th March at Ampthill RFC.
390 pupils from 33 lower schools took part in an exciting and successful festival. Coaches from Ampthill Rugby club were present at the festival to talent spot, give advice and support the referees. Sports leaders from Samuel Whitbread Community College and Wootton Upper School refereed the games, kept score and ran the score board.
The group stages kicked off with every school playing 4 games. The winners from each group then progressed into the semi finals, and the runners up from each group played off for 5th/6th/7th and 8th place. Both finals on each day were very close and exciting.
The winners now progress onto the county Tag Rugby Festival on the 31st March @ Dunstablians RFC. The Redborne SSP would like to wish both teams good luck.
