Sportivate

BACKGROUND

Sportivate is a £32 million National Lottery funded programme and is a key strand in Sport England’s ‘Places, People, Play’ 2012 mass participation legacy programme.

The overall aim of the programme is for 300,000 participants aged 14-25 years to complete a short, introductory course of activity with at least 120,000 (2 in 5) choosing to continue afterwards.  Sportivate will attempt to change habits and get more young people doing regular sporting activity.

Sportivate is a national project delivered on a local level by four management groups and administered by team Beds & Luton.
