The Football Association's National Leadership and Volunteering Camp
The Football Association acknowledges the role volunteers play throughout football and is keen to support the volunteer workforce by offering a range of opportunities and courses to develop their leadership experience.
We are again looking for nominations for two Young Leaders to attend;
The Football Association’s National Leadership and Volunteering Camp
Monday 12th July – Friday 16th July 2010. (Venue TBC)
The Young Leadership Camp is not only a fantastic experience for the young people but will also equip them with skills and experience that are in high demand in our local FA Charter Standard clubs, schools and leadership academies.
The camp will provide workshops around Coaching young players (5 -11s), Disability, Refereeing and numerous other areas. The workshops will be delivered by qualified FA Tutors of various disciplines who will provide the Young Leaders with a mass of knowledge and ideas, whilst empowering them to make a difference once returning to their football communities.
All leaders selected must be 16 – 17 years of age at the time of the camp.
Only 1 male and 1 female volunteer will be selected to represent Bedfordshire.
All selected Young Leaders must be available on the dates shown above and must have completed one of the courses below;
- Junior Sport Leadership Award
- Community Sports Leaders Award
- FA Junior Football Organisers course
- FA Level 1 Coaching Certificate
- FA Level 2 Coaching Certificate
Teachers, parents and club coaches are asked to encourage young people to complete the nomination form and apply to attend the camp, as it is an excellent experience for any proactive young leader.
Deadline for entries is Friday 9th April 2010.
