Step into Sport
'Step into Sport' is a National Volunteering Initiative managed by Sport England, Youth Sports Trust, Sport Leaders UK and Department for Education and Skills.
Step into Sport concentrates on recruiting and training a new generation of volunteers, aged between 14 and 19, and builds on existing programmes such as Community Sports Leadership Awards.
The main aim of Step into Sport is to encourge young people to become involved in sport in their local communities and is a great way for young people to gain National Governing Body and Leadership Awards.
team BEDS&LUTON will work closely with schools and sports clubs in the county to provide placement opportunities for young volunteers aged 16-19 as part of the Community Volunteering Strand of Step into Sport; matching the skills and interests of volunteers to volunteering opportunities in the community.

Volunteer Coordinators

This should help to increase the number and quality of coaches, officials and administrators working in local clubs to increase and help them achieve their Minimum Operating Standards and Clubmark recognition.
