During the first half of the session we:
> warm up
> do cardiovascular exercise to music
> cool down

During the second half of the session we do:
> muscle strengthening exercise using: small hand weights, ankle weights and resistance bands
> abdominal exercises
> pelvic floor exercises
> balance and co-ordination exercises
> flexibility stretches
> learn how to get down and up from the floor safely so that we can keep playing with the grandchildren!

We also arrange social activities.

This session is ideal for phase 4 cardiac rehabilitation, for weight maintenance and for active and able ladies and gentlemen who simply want to improve / maintain general health and strength while using larger pieces of cardiovascular exercise equipment, e.g. stationary bikes, rowing machines, steppers, exercise steps and re-bounders.

We begin each session with a warm up, which is followed by a circuit of 12 exercise stations: 6 cardiovascular stations alternating with 6 upper body muscle strength and endurance stations.

The circuit ends with a cool down, balance exercises and flexibility stretches

We also organise occasional social activities.

This session is ideal for people who have been attending hospital rehabilitation exercise classes, e.g. for heart or lung diseases or stroke, and is an ideal class to begin exercising in the community.

People work at different levels of intensity according to their health and fitness needs.

We begin each session with a warm up, which is followed by a circuit of 12 exercise stations: 6 cardiovascular stations alternating with 6 upper body muscle strength and endurance stations. The circuit ends with a cool down, balance exercises and flexibility stretches.
