OTAGO Strength And Balance Exercise Programme For Exercise And Health Professionals Working With Older People

The Course consists of the original 22 OTAGO Exercise Programme exercises, designed to prevent falls and improve balance, strength and confidence, that made up the original OTAGO Exercise Programme home exercise study design. There are some additional warm up and cool down exercises to ensure current international guidelines are followed. The specific order and progressions for each exercise is predetermined for OEP Leaders by LLT. ATTENDANCE AT ALL DATES IS NECCESSARY TO COMPLETE THE QUALIFICATION.

This course is being hosted as part of the 'Get Up & Go' programme for Northamptonshire Sport. This is a course that has been planned to train a further cohort of OTAGO Exercise Instructors to support the development of community sessions across Northamptonshire to support the Falls Implementation Strategy (2015 - 2020).
