Beds, Luton and Milton Keynes Disability Physical Activity and Sport Summit 2019

The Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes Disability Physical Activity and Sport Summit is designed to bring partners together who are influencing physical activity for disabled people across our area.

The event, jointly organised by team BEDS&LUTON and LEAP, will focus on insight, workforce, sharing of good practice and provide an opportunity for organisations to network.

A number of different organisations will be invited to present throughout the morning and their will also be an opportunity for CPD in the afternoon provided by the Activity Alliance.

Mental Health First Aid Workshop

We know that mental health problems can isolate people from the world and can be very difficult to talk about.

Through specialist mental health awareness training and mental health first aid we want to make sports clubs, leisure centres and physical activity sessions places where people suffering from mental health issues can feel comfortable asking for help and advice.

The content of the course concentrates on the three principals of First Aid which are; Preserving Life, Preventing the casualty's condition deteriorating and helping to promote recovery.
