Matthew has a bachelor's degree in sport and exercise science and a master's in Public Health. He has over six years' experience working as a public health professional, and has previous experience of working in sports development and as a personal trainer. His role and responsibilities in Public Health are varied requiring multi-agency working; finance management and planning; commissioning; project management; emergency planning; research; as well as user and stakeholder engagement and consultation.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his young family and going to the gym or playing any sport when time allows. His loyalties in football are split between Luton Town FC and Chelsea FC.
Matthew is determined and is passionate about reducing health inequalities to improve the health and wellbeing of residents. His experiences and skills will be of benefit to the board in supporting its continued development and success.
