Here is a taster for our Fit For Funding workshops, feel free to get in touch for more information...
Throughout September and October, team BEDS&LUTON have been delivering workshops aimed at community organisations to ensure organisational readiness to receive funding. This has been a great opportunity for team BEDS&LUTON to offer advice and support to real issues that community clubs and organisations face. The workshops have provided an opportunity to learn more about the level of governance needed to access public funding.
For some clubs this has been the start of a new process and for others it has been an chance to refresh existing understanding. For many organisations, tier one governance is needed to be able to receive the level of funding they require (up to £250,000), whereas higher amounts of funding require tiers two and three.
Even if your organisation is not looking for funding opportunities, complying with tier one of the code for sports governance is a great place for a club to be. This will ensure clubs have the structures and processes in place that will enable them to operate effectively. The code for sports governance focuses on five main principles included; structure, people, communication, standards and conduct, and policies and processes.
There is still time to attend one of our workshops. Click here to book onto our Bedford workshop, taking place on the 3rd of October.
