Make the Sports Parents Promise

Ahead of Parents in Sport Week 2019, the NSPCC is asking parents to make a promise to their child to make sure they have safe and enjoyable experiences of sport.

The Positive Parents Promise is part of our annual awareness raising campaign Parents in Sport Week.

Each year the NSPCC tries to highlight the important role parents play in sport and what clubs can do to support parents involvement.

They want to encourage as many parents as possible to make their Promise by the end of Parents in Sport Week 2019 (7-13 October).

This 3-point promise highlights how you can be a great sports parent.

Make the Sports Parents Promise

As a positive sports parent, I make these promises to my child(ren):

I promise to make sure the club we choose together is safe and fun

I promise to listen to you if you have any concerns about your sport

I promise to make sure that I always support you and your teammates in a positive way

Make it official! Add your name to be counted using the form here.

You'll also get a certificate to print out and put on the fridge or share on social media with other #sportsparent
