Paralympic Festival

This event is a learning and discovery afternoon where children will take part in a carousel of activities based on Paralympic sports. The event is an invitation only event to those schools who have been identified as having a number of children in the school, on the SEND register. You are welcome to bring as many SEND children as you like and it is open to pupils in all key stages.

The activities will be delivered by young leaders and the emphasis for the afternoon is about having fun and engaging in physical activities some of which may be new to the young people - it is not a competitive event.

Could you be Team GB's next diving champion?

Following the Olympics, Swim England Diving have launched a virtual talent search to identify future diving stars. Details of the program can be found here https://www.swimming.org/diving/diving-virtual-talent-search/

Luton Diving Club is one of the 7 clubs in the country involved in the National Talent Search, with this replacing our usual talent identification in schools, which we have not been able to undertake due to COVID.

Luton Diving Club have 6 divers aged 11-17 on England Talent Squads with one diver on the GB junior team who recently medaled at Junior Europeans and is currently targeting Junior Worlds at the end of the year. They are hoping to unearth the next generation of diving talent to join the team and get more children involved in the sport. Everyone who takes part in the talent search will be offered a free diving taster session as long as they can swim 25m and as well as finding the next stars of diving it is a great way to try a different sport.

Children with a background in squad gymnastics, acro and tumbling often excel in diving, but they are also keen to get as many children involved as possible.

You never know this virtual talent search might be the inspiration that gets the next Tom Daley involved in diving and this could be You!
