The School Games Maker Programme for Bedfordshire & Luton
The School Games Maker Programme engages young people into a volunteering and/or leadership role, and its aim is to develop the life skills within these young people, furthering their employability status. This programme allows young people to develop skills in a chosen area(s) and access qualifications in coaching and officiating. This is now an established County wide programme for children who have a desire to participate in leadership, volunteering and officiating within their school or community.
How can my school get involved?
Your school will be invited to bring a number of School Games Makers to the local Bedfordshire School Games Maker conference where we will build on developing their skills to take back into your own school to further develop other and future School Games Makers.
Through the SGM programme there will be opportunities for the School Games Makers to attend further training linked to his/her chosen route, be it Young Ambassador, Coach or Sports Official.
